Summary

This position is responsible for assisting the marketing team to perform work related to strategic marketing, communication, and public relations plans.

Specific Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

This position must effectively carry out the duties of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates the Core Values of the Credit Union in a positive manner. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following, however other duties many be assigned as needed.

  

  • Assist in production of marketing assets
  • Assist in production of quarterly newsletter (layout, design, writing)
  • Assist in messaging strategy/updating social media, including photo, video and blog content
  • Assist with event planning and coordination
  • Assist at events when able (rare evenings and weekends; weekday hours would be adjusted to account for these hours)
  • Attend event planning, sponsorship and merchant meetings when available
  • Assist with updates to NDFCU sharesite marketing website calendar of events and promo information
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

No supervisory responsibility.

 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Junior or Senior undergraduate status. 
  • Good communication, organization, and time management skills are required, along with the ability to think creatively and bring new ideas to the marketing group. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). 
  • Graphic design experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is preferred. 
  • Photography, video and editing experience is a plus. 
  • Writing experience is a plus. 
  • Willing to work in an extremely fast-paced work environment

 

  LANGUAGE SKILLS: 

A qualified individual must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

 

PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:

This position requires excellent communication, organization and time management skills through a variety of mediums, performed with accuracy and time sensitivity.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

This position will require the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY:

A qualified person must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where potentially limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form is required.
