The Marketing Manager is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Marketing Department inclusive but not limited to timely and accurate development, implementation, stewardship and evaluation of the credit union’s marketing strategies, both locally and nationally, through all channels and in alignment with the credit union’s overall business objectives.
The end-to-end development and execution of required marketing campaigns and promotions. This includes but is not limited to: messaging and creative strategy, channel and target selection, compliance review, and post-measurement. Works constructively and efficiently with internal personnel, external partners and vendors to ensure promotions are on target, on time, on budget and that appropriate staff are operationally prepared for the promotional activity and response.
Effectively hires, mentors and directs the activities of the Marketing Department. Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job results, coaching, counseling, initiating, coordinating and enforcing systems, policies and procedures.
Position requires the individual to work towards meeting various deadlines and paying close attention to detail. A fully competent individual must be able to use spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel. Individual must be able to meet all production and distribution schedules for marketing plans, programs, and collateral materials, and must be creative, self-motivated, organized, dependable and professional, with a demonstrated record as a self-starter. Individual must be able to use diplomacy, tact, and professionalism in actions and appearance.

Ability to read and write routine marketing reports, correspondence, and collateral copy, such as press releases, newsletter articles, and brochures. Knowledge of the English language is especially needed for purposes of proofreading to detect possible errors.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measurement using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; and to draw (using software) and interpret graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
A valid Driver’s License is needed.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Needs to be able to operate a personal computer, as well as the following software applications: Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The candidate must be fully proficient in Microsoft Excel and use of e-mail. Also being proficient in the use of other Marketing Software, such as a MCIF system will be helpful. Graphic design skills are helpful, but not necessary.
Must be able to operate all standard office machinery such as: digital camera; telephone; laser printers; scanners; fax machine; photocopier; typewriter; adding machine; and occasionally VCR, TV, overhead projector, or camcorder.
